Evaluation of Norwegian development research

NFU has submitted comments to the ongoing evaluation of Norwegian development research on development assistance.

SIPU International is conducting an evaluation of Norwegian development research on behalf of the Evaluation Department of the Norwegian Agency for Development.

The focus is on research on Norwegian development assistance. The purposes of the evaluation include assessing the role and prevalence of independent research and developing recommendations on how to strengthen independent research in the future.

The SIPU-team had per 22.November 2010 completed an initial series of interviews with members of the Norwegian development community who were well informed on the topic. Based on this a mid-term report was discussed at a meeting at Norad 01 December 2010.

The team has been seeking feedback on the preliminary findings from a broad spectrum of stakeholders.

Contact at SIPU International is Karl Nilsson.
